Virtual School: Gains & Losses

Gregory Fuentes Reina, Reporter

While some students and families have chosen the hybrid schedule for the remainder of the year, many students are currently enrolled in virtual learning via Zoom. I interviewed two classmates asking questions about their experience with virtual learning. Here are their responses:

What about online learning do you dislike?

Interviewee #1: “I dislike the fact there is little social interaction in virtual school.’’

Interviewee #2:  “I do not like the blandness of virtual school’’

What part about online learning do you like and why did you pick online?

Interviewee #1: ‘’I like the home aspect as you can finish anything after school.’’

Interviewee #2: “I enjoy the freedom of being able to do work inside your own home where you are comfortable.’’

Both seemed to express that they do not like the dull type of learning and interaction without other students. They also seemed to like being in control and being in charge of work anytime and being able to get things done faster at home.
